Jean-Marc Governatori, co-president of the Cap Ecology party and recent candidate for regional in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, announced his “centrist” candidacy for the primary election of ecologists for the 2022 presidential election. “The declared candidatures embody the ecology of their party, EELV, that of the left. I embody ecology at the center ”, assures the Niçois in a press release.
“Faced with ecological, economic, health, social dead ends … faced with the problem of the security of goods and people, faced with the absence of meaning except that of consuming, we will present a complete and innovative social project”, continues- he in his candidacy press release, published a few days after the announcement of the candidacies of Sandrine Rousseau, Eric Piolle and Yannick Jadot.
Jean-Marc Governatori had left alone for the regional election in Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur, leaving the list motivated by EELV the day after a union with the PS and the PCF. He said he was ready for an agreement with incumbent LR president even before the first round, when he won 5.3% of the vote. Between the two rounds, he then called to vote for Renaud Muselier against the RN led by Thierry Mariani, after the withdrawal from the list of left and environmentalist Jean-Laurent Félizia.
