Jean-Luc Reichmann victim of attempted theft in the middle of the night at his home

The events took place during the night from Wednesday to Thursday at the home of the TF 1 presenter. Jean-Luc Reichmann was the victim of an attempted theft at his home in Neuilly-sur-Seine, in Hauts-de-Seine, according to our information. An investigation was opened blatantly, entrusted to the city police station, for criminal conspiracy, refusal to comply and attempted homicide on a person holding public authority, the Nanterre prosecutor’s office confirms to Le Parisien.

Several individuals wearing balaclavas were seen around 2:20 a.m. trying to climb the gate of the host’s property. They wanted to enter the home by forcing the door and window with a crowbar. Jean-Luc Reichmann’s son, alerted by a light in the courtyard, managed to scare them away by shouting. The host was sleeping at the time of the attempted break-in.

Forces of BAC police officers quickly arrived on the scene. They saw the burglars fleeing in a car and robbed them. As it fled, the vehicle rushed towards two police officers without hitting them. A chase then began in the streets of Neuilly, Levallois then onto the ring road.

Multiplication of home-jackings

The five suspects were finally arrested in Épinay-sur-Seine where they had just abandoned their vehicle. They were taken to the Neuilly-sur-Seine police station and placed in police custody. The vehicle was seized. Balaclavas and gloves which were allegedly thrown out of the car windows were recovered by the police.
