Jean-Luc Mélenchon wants to address the angry people who are not fascists

The candidate of rebellious France held a meeting this Sunday on the Marseille Prado beach.

“Among Madame Le Pen’s voters, there are a lot of angry people who are not fascists and clearly I have to talk to them”, he underlines in an interview granted this afternoon to France 2, commenting on a recent poll which now only places him three points behind the candidate of the National Rally.

Dynamic Melenchon

Indeed the dynamic seems to be on the side of Jean-Luc Mélenchon concerning which all the institutes show progress in the polls for the first round of the election. According to Opinion Way, the far left candidate would thus be at 14% of voting intentions this week, against 12% last week. Same observation for Ifop-Fiducial, which places the candidate in third place for the first round, still at 14% of voting intention. The candidate of La France Insoumise therefore has every interest in being as unifying as possible.
