Jean Blaise, director of Voyage à Nantes, was indicted

It’s the next logical step. Questioned at the police station on Monday, Jean Blaise, director of the Trip to Nantesthe Nantes Métropole tourist office, was indicted for concealment of favouritism, violation of freedom of access to public contracts and complicity in the illegal taking of interests, reports West France.

This indictment comes within the framework of a vast investigation relating to irregularities in the design-construction markets of the Carrousel des mondes marines, this giant carousel built on the island of Nantes. The competition rules for this public facility may not have been respected. A figure in Nantes cultural life, Jean Blaise, 72, is not suspected of personal enrichment.

Five other indictments

This is the sixth indictment in this complex case since Benoist Pavageau, former general manager of Nantes Métropole services, Jean-Luc Charles, former general manager of the Nantes island development company (Samoa), Soizick Angomard, former deputy director of Samoa, are already prosecuted for “favouritism”.

The same goes for the prefect Michel Papaud, former secretary general of the prefecture, Jean-Philippe Aubry, director of the coordination of public policies, indicted for not having checked the legality of the procedure.
