Jean-Baptiste Djebbari changes jobs again. The former Minister Delegate for Transport has been appointed associate director of the Magellim group, a real estate investment fund, the company announced in a press release on Wednesday. The former deputy “will co-pilot and structure a new fund, the purpose of which will be to contribute to decarbonization in various sectors, in particular that of transport infrastructure”, specified Magellim.
This appointment comes two weeks after the announcement of the departure of Mr. Djebbari from the presidency of Hopium, a French start-up whose project is the construction of high-end vehicles powered by hydrogen.
Jean-Baptiste Djebbari took care of the transport portfolio between 2019 and 2022 within the Philippe then Castex governments. Aircraft pilot graduated from the National School of Civil Aviation (ENAC), he first worked at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) before joining a business aviation company, Jetfly, as director of flight operations. He began a brief political career in 2017 by being elected deputy (LREM) for Haute-Vienne and then minister until 2022.
