She looks for the “magic” that ideally occurs when playing a melody in the music, says Lynne Arriale. This search led the American from Milwaukee from her first pieces on the toy piano as a three-year-old to classical conservatory training and ultimately to jazz. And she has been an international fixture there since the early 1990s, having played at all the important festivals and very often in Germany.
She is now once again in her preferred classical piano trio line-up with Alon Near on bass and Lukasz Zyta on drums Underpass to guest.
