Jared Leto (51) is known for his extraordinary looks. The actor and musician not only often wears rather feminine clothes, but also lets his creativity run free when it comes to make-up. For the second time, the Oscar winner gave his fans an insight into his make-up routine before concerts on Instagram. This can best be described with the word “chaos”.

In the video clip Leto begins by messily applying bright red eyeshadow to his eyelids and bleached eyebrows with a brush. “It’s sort of the first mess I do,” he explains of the first step in his makeup routine. “Then I’ll tidy up a bit,” he explains while removing parts of the eyeshadow with a cloth. “You don’t put on make-up, you take it off.”

Then he dabs yellow paint into his hairline with a brush. He is asked from the off what inspires him and Leto answers very pragmatically: “I don’t know. I just ask myself: where else can I put something?”

He asks his followers for help

In the final step, he applies red lipstick, completing his makeup routine. “And there you have it. It’s called ‘Total Disaster’.” In the commentary on the video, he also described the make-up tutorial as “Hot Mess” (in German: chaos) and asked for tips from his fans. “I need her,” he added with a crying emoji.

Almost a week ago he already showed on Instagram a similar makeup tutorial with the hashtag #GetReadyWithMe.
