Jana Klinge is known to an audience of millions as Hannah Wagner in the hit series “Nord bei Nordwest”. A brief portrait.
About a year ago, Jana Klinge made her debut in the hit show as police officer Hannah Wagner. Since then, the native of Lower Saxony has been known to an audience of millions. Her character Hannah Wagner forms an established trio in the quirky and lovable crime series together with Hinnerk Schönemann as Hauke Jacobs and Marleen Lohse as Jule Christiansen, which investigates in the fictional Schwanitz. It is precisely the sometimes somewhat absurd that Jana Klinge appreciates about the series, as she revealed in an interview with “T-Online”. For example, the series does without police consultants who hire other formats in order to be as close as possible to the investigator’s reality. “Anything can happen in Schwanitz, because Schwanitz itself doesn’t exist. I think it’s great that the series thrives on the bizarre. It’s anything but a classic crime series,” says Klinge.
Jana Klinge had already gained some experience in cinema, television and theater roles before her successful engagement with “Nord bei Nordwest”, she played in “Tatort” and “Notruf Hafen Kante”, among others. She was also seen in the 2018 movie “Abschnitt” with Moritz Bleibtreu, Lars Eidinger, Fahri Yardim and Jasna Fritzi Bauer. According to her own statement, the serial role of Hannah Wagner not only brought her a breakthrough, but also a certain security during the Corona period. A 2020 theater tour that had already begun had to be canceled due to the pandemic.
Jana Klinge lives with her family in Berlin
The actress, who was born in Osnabrück in 1980, lives with her partner and daughter in Berlin. Although she enjoys life in the capital, she tries to get out into the countryside once a weekend as she feels a constant longing for nature and recharging in the countryside.
