The verdict is clear: On Thursday, the Dresden Regional Court gave this right in the dispute over advertising by the Saxon beekeeper Rico Heinzig – and rejected the moderator Jan Böhmermann’s application for an interim injunction. He cannot assert any injunctive relief due to a violation of his personal rights with regard to his name and image. In principle, he is entitled to this right to his own image. However, as in the case at issue, such images may also be published under certain circumstances without the consent of the person concerned.
