Director James Gunn and actress Jennifer Holland are engaged. She starred in two of his projects.
James Gunn (55) is engaged. The director (“Guardians of the Galaxy”, “The Suicide Squad”) announced the good news via Instagram. He posted a picture of his sweetheart, Jennifer Holland (35). The actress is clearly wearing an engagement ring.
Gunn did not comment on the picture. He just added two emojis, a heart and a winking smiley. But the followers immediately recognized what the filmmaker wanted to say with the post. In any case, colleagues and companions such as Viola Davis (56) and Steve Agee (52) reacted with congratulations.
James Gunn and Jennifer Holland have been together since 2015. Mutual friends had set the director and actress up for a blind date, like Holland once did revealed to the Hollywood Reporter.
Also professionally a team
Gunn and Holland are also professionally linked. In 2021, Holland played Emilia Harcourt in The Suicide Squad, Gunn’s (re)film adaptation of the DC Universe comic book antiheroes.
Holland also plays the NSA agent in the offshoot series Peacemaker. The actress has been on HBO Max since January 2022 alongside leading actor John Cena (44). James Gunn acts as showrunner and directs individual episodes. The streaming service ordered a second season in February 2022. Gunn is set to direct all episodes of the new season.
