Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been hospitalized with pain in his abdomen. He will be examined and a check will be made to see if surgery is necessary.
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been admitted to a hospital in Sao Paulo with abdominal complaints. The news agency reports Reuters citing media reports from the country. Bolsonaro was admitted with abdominal pain early in the morning on Monday and it was being checked whether the president needed an operation, Bolsonaro’s doctor Antonio Luiz Macedo told the news portal UOL.
The Brazilian television station Globo showed pictures of Bolsonaro walking down the stairs of the presidential plane after landing in Sao Paulo at around 1.30 a.m. local time. He was then taken to the Vila Nova Star Hospital, Globo said.
Since a knife attack on Bolsonaro during the 2018 election campaign, the president has had to be treated several times.
