It’s time to say goodbye to the t+ cardboard ticket book!

This time, it’s the good one: the cardboard t+ ticket book will disappear permanently this Thursday from all machines and counters in the RATP network. It is now impossible to obtain the famous notebook of 10, white and black version, which Parisians, but especially visitors to the capital, were fond of when taking the metro.

Announced almost two years ago, in October 2021, this disappearance is effective, this Thursday, everywhere in Paris, while certain stations already no longer offered the book of cardboard tickets: now, the Navigo Easy pass, sold for 2.10 euros , is the standard for occasional travelers who can recharge it as they wish at machines or at counters. The availability of your transport ticket directly on your smartphone is in progress, as all devices are not (yet) compatible.

To comment on this important step in the history of the Paris metro, we thought we would contact an esiteriophile. A what ? A collector of transport tickets of course! But the RATP has not yet decided to definitively put away the cardboard ticket, the single version remaining on sale or the origin-destination ticket which allows travel to the suburbs, fans of cardboard rectangles, nostalgic for the clip of the puncher, can always console themselves by collecting used tickets.
