It’s the end of an era, after Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba also packs his bags

The 1980s at Barça are almost over. After Gerard Piqué (born in 1987) during the season, then Sergio Busquets (1988), it is Jordi Alba (1989) who is preparing to leave Catalonia, according to several headlines in the Spanish press. The departure should be formalized on Wednesday.

Trained at the Blaugrana, the left-back had already left in 2005, before returning in 2012, after a successful adventure in Valencia. Winner of the 2015 Champions League and six-time Spanish champion, the former Spanish international has played less this season, in favor of Alejandro Baldé.

Off to Saudi Arabia?

While he had one year left on his contract, Jordi Alba and his big salary will therefore discover new horizons, after a final match at Camp Nou, Sunday against Mallorca, during the last day of La Liga.

Perhaps in Saudi Arabia, for an expensive reconstitution of the dissolved team, with Lionel Messi and Busquets?
