Ita – Lufthansa open to cooperation – business

Lufthansa is open to working with the newly launched Italian airline Ita in future. “Lufthansa is open to a commercial partnership with Ita,” said a Lufthansa spokesman. The successor company to the chronically loss-making state airline Alitalia had announced that it would be on the lookout for new partners in the industry and named Lufthansa alongside Air France KLM and the US airline Delta. “I am open to negotiate with anyone,” said the new Ita boss Alfredo Altavilla at the start of flight operations on Friday. In the industry, alliances for the joint operation of flight routes are common. Alitalia was previously part of the Allianz Sky Team, while Lufthansa is a member of the Star Alliance. Ita now wants to join an alliance in the coming year, said Altavilla.
