Israel’s partners need to find a stance on the new government – Opinion

Israel has a new government, it’s right wing and it’s legal. She received the majority of the votes in the elections and has 64 out of 120 seats in parliament. Every voter knew that a vote for Benjamin Netanyahu is also a vote for all the far-right, racists and homophobes who flock to his camp. So there is nothing wrong with the democratic process, everything is correct, everything is honest. And yet this government is a huge problem – for all those Israelis who didn’t vote for it; and for Israel’s allies around the world, who must now come to terms with this partner.
