Israel promotes Intel factory – economy

Chip manufacturer Intel will receive a $3.2 billion grant from Israel to build a factory in the south of the country. This is what the US company and the government in Jerusalem announced. The project is expected to cost a total of $25 billion. According to the government, thousands of people will be employed at high wages at the production facility in Kiryat Gat. Intel said it has committed to purchasing $16.6 billion in goods and services from Israeli suppliers over the next decade.
