Israel’s army says it has encircled the largest city in the south of the Gaza Strip, Khan Yunis, and surrounded the home of the Gaza leader of the Islamist Hamas, Jahia Sinwar. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday it was “only a matter of time before we find him.” Khan Yunis is considered a Hamas stronghold. Army spokesman Daniel Hagari said Israeli soldiers had made a breakthrough in an attempt to destroy key Hamas terrorist positions in Khan Yunis, the city where Sinwar’s home is located. However, Hamas boss Sinwar is not above ground, but underground.
