The song begins with “Historyteller, look into my eyes.” Then came lines like “Who said boys can’t cry” and “Someone stole the moon tonight.” Finally, the refrain of the song with which Israel wanted to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest and which refers to the Hamas massacres on October 7th: “I’m still wet from this October rain”. 20-year-old Eden Golan, winner of the casting show Rising Star, was supposed to sing these lines on the big stage in Malmö in May.
