Until Monday, April 25, Ismaning residents can secure their own apple tree from the community. In a campaign that is unique to date, the municipality is giving away young apple trees of the “Schöner aus Nordhausen” and “Reanda” varieties to interested parties who can plant them in their own garden or greenery. This creates small private meadow orchards, which insects should also like. Interested parties need enough space at home and should also take time for tree care. The young trees, which are between one and a half and two and a half meters high, are expected to be handed out at the local recycling center on Saturday, November 5th.
