Ismaning – Junge Union supports Böltl’s candidacy – Munich district

The Junge Union München-Land (JU) supports the application of Kirchheim’s mayor Maximilian Böltl, 38, for the direct candidacy in the constituency Munich-Land Nord in the state elections in autumn 2023. “Now is the time for us, as pacesetters in the CSU to push ahead,” said JU district chairman Jan Kämmer on Tuesday to the SZ. “We want to promise Max Böltl our support.” The opportunity to do this will arise at the district delegates’ meeting of the CSU youth organization on Friday, July 1, in the Ismaninger Bürgersaal, at which a new JU district board will also be elected.

The focus, however, will be on the outlook for the assembly meeting of the CSU district association, which will take place in the fall and at which the direct candidates will be nominated for the constituency north as well as for the constituency Munich-Land South. In the south, Bavaria’s former Minister of Transport, Kerstin Schreyer, 50, is likely to apply again for the candidacy and the MP can be sure of the support of the JU board. The Unterhaching native has been a member of the Bavarian state parliament since 2008. According to Chairman Kämmerer, the regional assembly of delegates is the ideal opportunity to give both candidates broad support, since all JU members are invited.

In all likelihood, Kerstin Schreyer from Unterhaching will once again be the CSU direct candidate in the Munich-Land Süd constituency.

In the Munich-Land North constituency, the new appointment is necessary because the Haarer MP Ernst Weidenbusch announced in April that after 20 years in the Maximilianeum he no longer wanted to stand in the state elections. So far, Böltl is the only interested party in Weidenbusch’s successor in the CSU.
