Ismaning: Jazz trio makes a guest appearance in the Kallmann Museum – district of Munich

Their music combines jazz tradition with contemporary improvisational art – that Criss Cross Trio concert this Friday, November 25, in the Kallmann Museum Ismaning. The newly founded ensemble, which includes saxophonist Matthieu Bordenave, guitarist Geoff Goodman and drummer Bastian Jütte, always seeks to create transparent and open sound spaces despite all the complexity and finesse, occasionally refined with humorous intermezzi. The three musicians are big names in the Munich jazz scene and their arrangements are inspired by the poetry of Japanese haiku masters such as Basho and Issa, the Persian mystic Hafiz, and the Americans Langston Hughes and Jack Kerouac. Accordingly, the concert, beginning at 8 p.m., is labeled “Musical Poetry”. Tickets cost twelve euros, concessions eight euros. Reservations are possible at [email protected] or telephone 089/961 29 48.
