The Ismaninger Festwoche will not take place this year either. After two failures due to the corona pandemic, the community and the festival host once again regretfully canceled the folk festival planned for June and popular in the region on the Ismaninger Festplatz am Eisweiher. In order to run a folk festival economically, a certain size is required, explains the community. In view of the planning uncertainties this year, however, only a manageable number of showmen and their fairground rides had applied for the festival. Without an attractive range of rides, the event seemed too unsafe for the festival host. In addition, there is apparently a shortage of staff: both the landlord and the showman companies would not have found enough workers for the assembly and dismantling as well as the company, according to the town hall. Of course, there are still celebrations in Ismaning: This year is the 50th anniversary of the BRK readiness as well as the erection of a new maypole and large open-air performances for the 100th birthday of the country theater.
