Gold over 400 meters freestyle: Isabel Gose is European champion

Gold at last: Swimmer Isabel Gose has won the European Championship final over 400 meters freestyle. She had previously won silver in the 800m and bronze in the 200m.
Isabel Gose is European Champion over 400 meters freestyle. The Magdeburg native completed her medal streak on the last day of the European Pool Championships in Rome on Wednesday after already winning silver in the 800m and bronze in the 200m freestyle.
In 4:04.13 minutes, the 20-year-old relegated the Italian Simona Quadarella, European champion over 800 and 1500 meters, to second place. Third was the Hungarian Ajna Kessely. The second German finalist, Julia Mrozinski, finished eighth.
