Investigations into fraud at emergency filling stations in the Ahr valley – SWR Aktuell

After the flood in the Ahr valley, several suspects are said to have tapped unjustifiably large amounts of diesel at the emergency filling stations. Now the Koblenz public prosecutor is investigating.

At the end of September, the SWR reported for the first time that hundreds of thousands of liters of diesel may have been given to unauthorized persons at the filling stations in the Ahr Valley. According to the Koblenz Public Prosecutor, investigative proceedings for fraud have now been initiated against three suspects. They are said to have tapped diesel “in considerable quantities” without authorization.

Investigations by the Koblenz public prosecutor are still ongoing

For a long time, however, this was not checked. Several hundred thousand liters of diesel fuel could have been tapped by unauthorized persons over a period of weeks. The prosecution’s investigations, including those against possible other perpetrators, are still ongoing.
