After the death of a 15-year-old: two young people suspected of crimes

Investigators find a body in a park in Salzgitter. Shortly thereafter, it is clear that the girl was the victim of an act of violence. A 13-year-old and a 14-year-old are suspected.
After the discovery of a dead 15-year-old in Salzgitter, two young people are considered urgent suspects. The Braunschweig public prosecutor said it was a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old.
An arrest warrant for murder had been requested for the 14-year-old at the Salzgitter District Court. A detention of the 13-year-old is not possible because of the criminal immaturity, the youth welfare office was informed about the suspicion of a crime against him.
Officials discovered the 15-year-old’s body on Tuesday during an intensive search operation in a park in the Fredenberg district, after the girl had previously been reported missing. “The motive for the crime has not yet been finally clarified, but according to current knowledge it is personal,” said the public prosecutor. The two suspects are Germans from Salzgitter.
