Investigation opened after the power cut at the Ganges clinic

An investigation was opened after the power cut that affected the Ganges clinic (Hérault), on the sidelines of Emmanuel Macron’s visit on April 20, learned 20 minutes with the Montpellier public prosecutor’s office. The investigation concerns a “deliberate endangerment of others”. She was entrusted to the gendarmerie company of Lodève.

The clinic filed a complaint. “At the time of the cut, we had five surgeries going on. The malicious act is totally unacceptable”, had confided to Free lunch Lamine Gharbi, president of the Cap Santé group. The prefect had condemned this act, and made a report to the Montpellier prosecutor’s office, also pointing out the power cuts that affected the college of Ganges, and Montpellier airport.

The CGT has nothing to do with it, assures Sophie Binet

On Twitter, Thursday, François Braun, the Minister of Health, had also condemned “firmly the voluntary triggering of a power cut […] in the clinic. Protesting is not gambling with the health of patients and the work of caregivers. »

The CGT claimed responsibility for two power cuts on Thursday, at Montpellier airport and at the Ganges college, where Emmanuel Macron went. The power outage that affected the clinic, however, has not been claimed. On BFM TV, Sophie Binet, the boss of the CGT assured Monday that the union had nothing to do with it. “We never cut the electricity in health establishments,” she said.
