The Perpignan public prosecutor’s office reportedly announced the opening of an investigation after the broadcast of video images by the Mediapart site. In these images, a man’s head appears to hit a wall after he was pushed by a police officer during an arrest. It would be a municipal police officer from the Pyrénées-Orientales prefecture.
“As soon as I became aware of the video, I initiated an investigation which is currently being processed, including the collection of the complaint from the young person who had refused to do so following his arrest” , precise, to Mediapartthe public prosecutor of Perpignan, Jean-David Cavaillé.

It concerns a minor in an irregular situation in France, who escaped from the home where he was placed following his arrest. “The intervention took place on a known deal point in the Saint-Matthieu district which is plagued by drug trafficking,” underlines the mayor, Louis Aliot (RN) at France 3.
