Singer Bonnie Tyler in an interview about the hit that she stole from Meat Loaf, cosmetic surgery and an argument with Dieter Bohlen.
Many people recognize Bonnie Tyler as a pop star suitable for “Wetten, dass…?”. For others, she is one of the distinctive voices of rock and roll iconography. Tyler, real name Gaynor Sullivan, comes from near Swansea in Wales and started her singing career in the early 1970s. Their hits were “It’s a Heartache”, “Holding Out for a Hero” and “Total Eclipse of the Heart”, which is one of the world’s most successful singles to date with more than six million sales. Although she represents a lost era of show business, Bonnie Tyler continues to release albums at the age of 72 and is often on tour. “In Berlin” has just been released, a concert recording with 17 mostly new songs.
