Musk’s Twitter responds to press inquiries with feces emoji

Anyone who made a press inquiry on Twitter has recently waited in vain for an answer anyway. Now Twitter boss Musk is going one better with a drastic emoji.
Tech billionaire Elon Musk has found a new way to demonstrate his dislike to the media: inquiries to the Twitter press office email address are now automatically answered with a poop emoji.
Musk announced the move himself on Sunday. There was no explanation on Monday either. Writing the address was largely pointless beforehand: Musk had abolished the press department after his takeover of Twitter in the fall.
The electric car manufacturer Tesla, led by Musk, has not had an official press department for years. Musk’s relationship with the media has been characterized by distrust for years. He often accuses them of unfair or false reporting. More recently, Musk’s political shift to the right has led to further allegations: In February, he claimed that “the media” behaved “racistly” towards whites and people of Asian origin.
