With a new career channel on Instagram, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution wants to attract talented young people. The Federal Office is increasingly recruiting young employees.

The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV) also wants to do this in the future Instagram advertise for offspring. To mark the start of his new channel on the social network, the security authority in Berlin had a solar-powered boat with an advertising poster on the Spree.

“The recruitment of talented young professionals is of essential importance for the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution,” said BfV President Thomas Haldenwang. The new career channel on Instagram is a way for the security authority to reach young people where they are already: on social media. According to his authority, no press releases from the Office for the Protection of the Constitution or warnings to the economy should be published on the new Instagram channel, but rather current job offers and answers to questions such as “How does a security check work?” or “How do I prepare for a job interview?”

The Federal Office presents itself as an employer with the slogan “On behalf of democracy!”. In 2021, this had the previous slogan “Do good in secret!” replaced.
