Intangible Cultural Heritage: Ten Customs from Around the World

Since March 13th there have been new additions to the list of German intangible cultural heritage: Berlin techno, mountaineering in Saxony, the Finsterwald singing tradition and the production of apple and perry wine known as “Viez” are now among the total of 150 entries from Germany

The intangible cultural heritage includes, among other things, social and oral traditions, dance, theater, music, crafts and festivals. The list has over 600 entries worldwide – from saunas to bell ringing. Here we show you ten particularly bizarre customs.
