- “The Power Mole” works similarly to wireless charging on smartphones.
- The system is practical for powering smaller gadgets such as security cameras or LED lights, which are now much easier to install.
No need to connect a cable, just place the phone on the phone and it will start charging. Wireless charging is a practical matter that is not limited to charging smartphones or in-ear headphones.
Because Power Mole uses the principle to send electricity through window glass or even through thin (wooden) walls. According to the manufacturer, the maximum thickness is 30 millimeters. The system consists of two round parts, a transmitter and a receiver.
The transmitter is connected to a socket and stuck to the window pane. The counterpart, the receiver, is attached to the opposite outside. From here you can now connect a USB cable and operate devices such as LED lights or the security camera. The prerequisite is that they can be operated with 5 volts, i.e. they are USB compatible.
If the system is not used on windows but in walls, it can independently check whether there is metal in the wall. If this is the case, no current flows.

Currently The Power Mole is the subject of one Crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. The gadget is offered here at a price of $59. Remember that crowdfunding is generally not without risks for you. If you have any doubts, it’s better to wait until the gadget officially goes on sale.
