Instagram and Facebook are down – Meta: “We’re working on it”

For many Internet users, Facebook and Instagram are essential. On Tuesday, users will have to do without the services from the Meta group for a while.
There were disruptions worldwide on the online services Facebook and Instagram on Tuesday. The US parent company Meta said that since 4:30 p.m. CET, users around the world have been having difficulty accessing Facebook, Instagram and Threads. “We are working on it,” said Meta spokesman Andy Stone in the short message service X.
Users of online services from the Meta Group reported on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) and Bluesky that they were logged out and were unable to log in again.
Several thousand users reported technical problems with the “All Faults” service. However, the number of fault reports fell sharply again after 20 minutes.
