Injured and forced to retire, a Laval player takes Pfizer, BioNTech and the FFF to court

At 29, François-Xavier Fumu Tamuzo has just retired. The body of the Stade Lavallois player (Ligue 2) no longer responds. The start of the ordeal began after receiving his two doses of vaccine against Covid-19, in the summer of 2021, when he had just arrived at the club. First it was severe pain in his knee which prevented him from training, then the Achilles tendon which gave way, after the third dose in March 2022. Forced to hang up his crampons, he is today taking legal action against the Pfizer and BioNTech laboratories, responsible according to him for his state of health, as reported by France Bleu Mayenne.

“Removing doubt about the adverse effects of the vaccine”

The midfielder trained at Auxerre assures him, he is neither anti-vaccine nor conspiratorial. But “I would like to understand why my body stopped working,” he explains. His daily life has become hell: “The long walk is barely bearable, jogging is impossible for me. The moment I want to push up, for example to go up my stairs or up a shelf or even down the stairs, the pain is severe,” he tells local radio.

His lawyer takes over: “For two years, my client has been in medical limbo and no one has cast any doubt on the adverse effects of the vaccine. While we know they exist today, no one can deny it. And as these concerns grew, François-Xavier went to consult internal medicine specialists who eventually expressed this doubt. We have to lift it,” asserts Eric Lanzarone.

The FFF also assigned

With his client, he decided to take legal action against Pfizer-Germany and BioNTech as designers of the vaccine, Pfizer-France as supplier, but also the FFF, “which has responsibility in this story. She built a health protocol even before the introduction of a law.”

A hearing will take place on July 2 at the Paris judicial court. Justice will say it wishes to appoint a college of experts, which would have the mission of establishing or not a causal link between the vaccine and the injuries of the former U20 international, who will have played his last match under the colors of Laval there. two years ago.
