Everything is okay.” Manuela was in the pathology department with Steeger for half an hour: “I gave her a goodbye kiss and put a card with a dachshund on it in her hand. With the words: ‘Dear Steegerlein, I love you, your friend Manuela.’ She would have been happy about that.”

The entrepreneur felt a great need to say a final goodbye: “I still don’t know whether I should cry or whether I’m just happy because she was now able to escape her suffering. All I know is that she took away the last two percent of my fear of dying because she looked so peaceful.”

Mock continued: “When I saw her, it was like she was on vacation. She was lying beautifully in her nightgown with flowers in her hand. The pathologist put them in her folded hands and there were rose petals around her head. She got a kiss from me and also from our mutual friend Alex.”
