Ingrid Steeger (†76): Now her secret love speaks | Entertainment

She became famous through the comedy series “Klimbim” and the image of the frivolous person never got rid of: Ingrid Steeger. The actress only died on Friday in the nursing home in Bad Hersfeld at the age of 76.

In addition to numerous friends and relatives, the following also mourn: Schlager legend Michael Holm (80). Because that was the actress’s (almost) secret love in the 70s.

In BILD, Michael now remembers the time he spent with Ingrid – a short but quite intense one.

The death of his former lover caught him off guard. “Ingrid was a wonderful, warm and particularly good-natured woman and I am sad that she died.” And further: “It would probably not have been known to this day that we were together if an acquaintance hadn’t spilled the beans.”

Ingrid Steeger and Michael Holm: THAT was hardly known

Despite the chatter among friends, not much was known about the relationship between the two. Until now. Michael Holm to BILD: “We met in 1977 and were together for a total of over eight months. As we all know, there were no cell phones back then, so we couldn’t talk on the phone often because we were both traveling a lot for work.”

Instead of WhatsApp messages or SMS, there was something much nicer: handwritten postcards. Ingrid sent these out every two to three days, including touching dedications. “As she then revealed to me, she did it to pass the time until we met again.” Ugh.

Michael Holm had a wonderful time with Ingrid Steeger, even a wedding would have been conceivable. “My father would have liked us to get married. If it had come to that, I probably wouldn’t have said no. As we all know, things turned out differently,” said Holm.

Ingrid Steeger was unlucky in love

Actually. The actress fell in love with the big game hunter Peter Koenecke instead. The end of the romance with the pop singer and the end of her time in Germany. Because Ingrid moved to Kenya.

“Then unfortunately we lost sight of each other, but of course I noticed that she was doing relatively poorly,” remembers Michael in BILD. Ingrid always had men who “didn’t do her any good and took away her self-confidence.” She was naive and it was easy for men to take advantage of her financially.

“Once, when we met again at an event, she told me that there were actually only two men who were good to her. The cameraman Elias Stickelbrucks (80), to whom she was married in her first marriage, and me.” An emotional statement for Michael. “That touched me very much.”

Ingrid Steeger lives on in Michael Holm’s heart. “I will miss her very much.”
