suspected rape and human trafficking

Andrew Tate has lived in Romania since 2017 and was arrested there last December. Charges were also brought against his brother Tristan and two Romanian women. They are accused of forming a criminal organization to traffic in human beings in Romania, the US and the UK in 2021.

According to investigators, seven female victims were taken to Romania after making false declarations of love. There they were sexually exploited and physically abused. One of the accused raped an alleged victim twice in March 2022.

The four were arrested on December 30 in Voluntari near Bucharest. They were released three months later and placed under house arrest.
