The Airbus Executive Committee has decided that an exceptional bonus will be paid before the end of 2022 to all Airbus employees up to and including Senior Manager level.

Airbus will pay a bonus to its employees worldwide, of 1,500 euros gross in its main countries of establishment, in the face of soaring inflation, according to a message to employees. “The Airbus Executive Committee has decided that an exceptional bonus will be paid before the end of 2022 to all Airbus employees up to and including Senior Manager level”, i.e. the vast majority of its employees, says the European group.

The work-study students too

The bonus, “exceptional”, will amount to 1,500 euros or pounds gross “per employee in the four founding countries (United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain)”, adds the company. In other countries, the bonus will be calculated according to the “local average basic salary” to “reflect the decision applied to the four founding countries”, adds the company. Airbus employed more than 126,000 people worldwide at the end of 2021, including 46,000 in France, 43,000 in Germany, 12,000 in Spain and more than 9,000 in the United Kingdom. The European giant has planned to hire at least 6,000 people worldwide in 2022. Work-study students will also benefit from the measure.

“The volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity that characterizes our environment have been further reinforced in recent months by the energy crisis and inflation,” recalls the company, for which the granting of this bonus aims to “contribute both to the maintenance of a committed state of mind and the purchasing power of each and everyone”. In France, the wage negotiations concluded at the start of the year provide for a salary increase, applicable on July 1, of 6.8% over two years, accompanied by a review clause at the start of 2023.
