The famous FIFA virus, as the Spanish press calls it, claimed a first victim in the ranks of PSG in March: starting with the France Espoir team against the Ivory Coast this Friday evening in Châteauroux (3-2 ), Bradley Barcola came off injured during the first period after feeling pain in the back of his left thigh after an acceleration on the left side where he was positioned in the Bleuets’ 4-3-3.
Immediately taken care of by the medical staff, the Parisian winger joined the locker room and the first news was brought by his coach Thierry Henry after the match on the microphone of La Chaîne L’Equipe, the boss of the Bleuets not giving a diagnosis nor duration of unavailability but saying “disappointed for him, for PSG”. Words which suggest that the absence will be counted in weeks, not days.
A few minutes later, at a press conference, the coach said more about the PSG winger’s injury: “Bradley had nothing until tonight, there was no warning. We never want to see a player get injured. It’s annoying, there are deadlines with PSG. We really pay attention to everything, you are well placed to know that. » It was a low limping Barcola who in any case appeared at the end of the match with his partners.
Barcola did not leave the France Espoirs team this Friday evening and he is expected to undergo medical examinations this Saturday morning at Châteauroux, venue of last night’s match, before very probably joining PSG for treat yourself.
