It is no longer possible to come and withdraw your shopping there for the past few days. In Vendée, inspectors from the Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Populations (DDPP) carried out a nice crackdown while visiting the drive-thru of a supermarket in the department.
On site, they indeed found a “massive quantity of excrement”, which “demonstrated the presence of rodents (rats) in the food storage space and the adjoining reserves dedicated to other products”, reports the prefecture of Vendée.

Inspectors noted that these products were “regularly eaten and soiled by rodents”. Fortunately, store supplies and supermarket sales space appear to have been spared.
The name of the sign concerned, whose drive was “closed urgently”, was not indicated by the prefecture, which considers these “serious breaches” as “fortunately exceptional”. A restaurant, presenting “a state of general disorder” and “a lack of hygiene” was also recently closed by the authorities.
