Scary discovery on the plane: After a passenger plane from Istanbul landed at Hamburg Airport, a passenger remained seated – flight attendants then discovered that the man was dead.

A Pegasus Airlines passenger plane from Istanbul with a dead man on board landed at Hamburg Airport without anyone noticing. The incident occurred last Monday, as the “Hamburger Abendblatt” reported. After landing, all passengers got off – except for one. When flight attendants took a closer look, they found that the man had passed away.

The dead came from Schleswig-Holstein

The deceased was 51 years old and came from Geesthacht in Schleswig-Holstein. During the autopsy of the body it was found that the man was infected with the coronavirus. It is believed that he died during the flight. How he got on board despite this illness is currently being determined.

Normally such a case should not occur. Anyone taking a flight must provide proof of a full corona vaccination, recovery or a current corona test. The airline must provide the contact details including ID and passport numbers within 24 hours. The passengers who may be affected must then report to the health department responsible for them.
