AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, is one of four candidates for the World Cup final, along with the New York Giants and New York Jets’ Metlife in New Jersey, SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, and Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, according to local media.

The decision on the host stadium for the final is expected before the end of the year, perhaps as early as November, sources close to FIFA told AFP. AT&T Stadium, which has a retractable roof and can accommodate up to 80,000 spectators, was opened in 2009 and hosted the Super Bowl final in February 2011, as well as numerous international football matches.
