Industrial accident at the ICE depot in Laim – Munich

A 33-year-old from Munich sustained moderate injuries in an industrial accident at the railway’s ICE depot in Laim. As the federal police and fire department announced, the employee drove backwards with a pallet truck on Saturday and collided with a work platform. As a result, his lower legs became trapped in the platform. There were bruises and, according to initial findings, probably also fractures. According to the information, the man living in Berg am Laim was immediately taken to a hospital.

The situation was extremely challenging for the rescue workers who were alerted, including the fire department and emergency doctor, as the 33-year-old was stuck in a position that was difficult to access. In addition, the accident site was difficult to access. The required rescue material had to be transported several hundred meters through the depot. The police said they were investigating the cause of the accident.
