Incriminated street names in Dachau: an honor that is not due to everyone – Dachau

They were National Socialists or were close to them, one wrote anti-Semitic pamphlets, another glorified German colonial policy and created works of art for the Nazi regime – and streets and buildings in Dachau still bear their names today. District home curator Norbert Göttler drew the city administration’s attention to the National Socialist background of four namesakes: the former mayor Hans Zauner, the honorary citizen Hermann Stockmann, the composer Werner Egk and the sculptor Walter von Ruckteschell.
