In the middle of Ebersberg: A bratwurst with a roll is a delicious meal. However, if you try to eat both in one hap, you will run into problems.

If you have to be quick at lunchtime, we recommend going to the grill booth in Ebersberg – because there you don’t hesitate for long.

“They’re in your mouth with a bite” – that’s what a well-known chocolate manufacturer once promised in an advertisement for his small round balls. And in fact, the quick snack in between went quite smoothly and without any major spills. Whether this works as well in the case of another – admittedly no less delicious – food can be doubted, despite the corresponding praise. We’re talking about the good old bratwurst in the bun. Unlike the small chocolate balls, this meal is rather bulky in shape. Accordingly, an above-average mouth diameter would be required to devour the crunchy red with one bite.

In Ebersberg, however, there seems to be loudmouths who dare to do this feat – at least when it comes to the local sausage stand in the city center. After the company’s summer break, he advertises his grilled food with a new billboard. Apparently, the operator not only wants to attract the local Ebersbergers to the booth, but also to get an international audience enthusiastic about his products. And so the menu is now available in two languages: German and English.

Unfortunately, however, a small mistake crept in when they were designed, and so the sausage in the bun became “Sausage in a breath” – in English: “Sausage in one breath”. What initially appears to be an advantage for a quick lunch break turns out to be an impossibility when you take a closer look at the portion size. And so the booth operator promises improvement: The billboard should be reprinted and “breath” should become “bread”. It remains to be seen whether the meat loaf that is also offered will continue to be translated as “Bavarian Special”.
