In the interests of the economy, the Greens and the FDP want to get closer again. – Opinion

Robert Habeck is looking. He would like to find a space in which people can talk sensibly about ways out of the difficult situation in the German economy. In this space, the Vice Chancellor imagines, everyone would be willing to soften ideological rigidities in the interest of finding a solution. In such a room, the Greens would also have to question their heartfelt concerns, the Economics Minister admitted in Caren Miosga’s talk show. What’s more: He knew, said Habeck, that Finance Minister and FDP leader Christian Lindner also wanted such a room. In a better world, such a space would of course already exist: it would be called the traffic light coalition.
