On Monday, press lawyer Robert Balin was escorted out of the courtroom where Donald Trump’s criminal trial is currently being heard. “Your Honor,” Balin shouted as a court police officer asked him to leave the courtroom immediately, “may I object on behalf of the press?” Balin had attended the trial on the very day that Judge Juan Merchan, reacting to the provocation of a witness, threw the entire team of around 60 court reporters out of the courtroom in a dramatic fit of irrationality.
