NARRATIVE – After several hours of lively debate, the only article of the constitutional bill relating to the freedom to resort to abortion was largely adopted, despite the notable opposition of several LR deputies.

Sometimes lively, passionate, often technical and legal, the discussions on the draft constitutional law relating to the freedom to resort to voluntary termination of pregnancy (IVG) resulted, on the night of Wednesday January 24 to Thursday January 25, in the vote of the only article of the reform providing for inserting into the Constitution that “the law determines the conditions under which the freedom guaranteed to a woman to have recourse to an abortion is exercised“.
