Suspected of having killed her ex-spouse with a knife, a 49-year-old woman was placed in police custody at Pré-Saint-Gervais (Seine-Saint-Denis). He would have first tried to kill her, says the latter.
“A woman is in police custody and investigations are underway,” the Bobigny prosecutor’s office told AFP, without further details.
Come to settle a dispute
According to a police source, the woman had gone to the apartment of her ex-husband, also 49, in the evening to settle a dispute. “According to her, he locked her up and tried to kill her. She would have defended herself by stabbing him in the neck, ”continued this source. The incident took place around 3 a.m. “She called the police saying: I killed him,” said a source close to the investigation.
Herself injured, she was hospitalized and then placed in police custody. The victim “was a man without history, who left in the morning and returned in the evening in his little Clio”, testified to AFP a neighbor specifying, on condition of anonymity, that he worked at the RATP. According to her, the man had just moved into the building in May and was living alone. The investigation opened for voluntary homicide was entrusted to the judicial police of Seine-Saint-Denis.
