She celebrated her breakthrough in “Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten”, where she played the role of “Katja Wettstein” from 1996 to 1999. We are talking about Alexandra Neldel. Actually, the 45-year-old had not even aspired to an acting career. But her first role turned into a big TV career for the trained dental assistant. As an inconspicuous girl with braces, she enthralled in the role of “Elisabeth ‘Lisa’ Plenske” in the telenovela “Verliebt in Berlin”. She is best known to film lovers as a medieval prostitute in the SAT1 bestseller adaptation “Die Wanderhure” from 2010. She later took on the role two more times in “Die Rache der Wanderhure” and “Das Legacy of the Wanderhure”. Engaged since 2010 Alexandra Neldel has become a celebrity ambassador for humanitarian projects of the international aid organization “Habitat for Humanity”. In Cambodia and Nepal she built houses with other volunteers for people who previously lived in slums. But Neldel also continues to act regularly in cinema and television film productions. Her youngest Film: The ZDF fairy tale film “Die Sterntaler des Glücks”, a modern interpretation of the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm “Die Sterntaler”.
